Experience the British way of life with a stay of five to ten nights in Tanuki House, a typical British home in Birmingham, central England. The house is in a pleasant suburban neighbourhood, very close to local shops and bus routes, and conveniently situated for world-famous visitor attractions such as Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle. Up to three guests can be accommodated at a time, in one large room. Most of the meals are organised as a group, with everyone taking part in the preparation - all part of the cultural education! Special dietary requirements can be accommodated.

Improve your English

At least one hour of lessons will be provided each day, tailored to the students' needs. Afterwards we'll go out and give you a chance to use the English you've learned. The proprietor has two years' experience of teaching English in Japan (1999-2001), has the CELTA certificate and can speak Japanese (Japanese Proficiency Test Level 3).

Explore the Heart of England The package also includes daily visits to nearby places of interest, such as Stratford, Warwick Castle, Cadbury World (chocolate factory), Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter and museums, the Cotswolds, and National Trust properties.
